He was from our first registered litter with the TCA under the prefix of “Pugmate Kennels”. Cuddles notched up many awards during his career in the show ring, from All Breeds and Speciality Shows. ![]() ![]() Australian Champion Pugmate Barnie Bean ~ Barnie “Barnie Bean” as he was affectionately known had a show career that was envied by most fanciers of the breed. Most people admired his fantastic ground covering movement. He was a multi Best Exhibit In Group winner both here in Tasmania and interstate. ![]() ![]() Australian Champion Pugmate Lord Brodie ~ Brodie Brodie continued his father Cuddles’ success in the show ring by becoming our first Best Exhibit in Show All Breeds winner. He was a multi Best Exhibit in Group winner from a young age and continued to show the quality of his bloodlines for many years, through numerous group and speciality wins. ![]()

Bert is a multiple Best Exhibit & Runner up in Group winner, Runner up Best Exhibit in Show winner and has numerous class in group wins to his credit. ![]() ![]() Australian Champion Pugmate Dashing Debonair ~ Joshua Joshua was shown by & lived with Rae Lindsey & Dean Applebee. He was a multi Best Exhibit in Group winner at all Breeds and Royal shows. His attitude in the ring and outside the ring was something to be seen to be believed, always keeping everyone on their toes with his antics. His ultimate show win was winning Runner up Best Exhibit in Show All Breeds at Launceston Royal Show in 2003. Joshua is now retired and living the high life with his new owners.

Jessica gained her title quickly with numerous wins along the way. She was a proven brood bitch producing Ch Pugmate Lord Brodie and Ch Pugmate Maybe Im A Devil. She used to be affectionately known as “Quacker duck” due to the sound effects she used to make when she got excited when showing in the ring. Jessica passed away in July 2007.

Australian Champion Lynjenna Daniella - Danni Danni has shown the quality of her breeding since arriving in Tasmania from Lynjenna Kennels as a baby puppy. Danni obtained her title at 10 months of age with Best Exhibit and Runner up Best Exhibit in Group wins. She has also been challenge bitch at Launceston Royal Show in 1999 & 2000. Although Danni is now retired from the show ring, she has certainly shown the quality of her bloodlines as the mother of Australian Champion Pugmate Mr Smartie Pants and & Australian Champion Pugmate Movin Fancy Free, an achievement we are very proud of. Danni has now been placed with new owners, living a wonderful life with her new owners in Smithton, Tasmania. ![]() ![]() Pugtina Monak ~ Mindy
Mindy was the first Pug that I began showing with. Although she didn’t obtain her title, she gave me invaluable knowledge about the breed and showing. I owe Fedelma Langham (Phedwil Pugs) a thank you as she was the one person who encouraged me to actually start showing Mindy, and begin the long road to where we are now. Mindy passed away at the age of 14 years.

AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION PUGMATE ANIMATED MISS - ANNIE Annie is retired from the show ring, but when showing she won numerous class in group and class in show wins, including being opposite Intermediate in Show at the South Australian Pug Club Championship Show in May 2001 under Pug Specialist judge Dr Elmer Pineda from the Philippines. She has certainly highlighted the strength of the breeding behind her by being the dam of Australian Champion Pugmate Devils Majic, and Pugmate Cupids Cowboy who themselves have excelled in the show ring and are continuing to show the quality of our breeding. Annie is now living in Hobart, Tasmania with her new owners as she lives out her retirement from the show ring and maternal duties. ![]()
PUGMATE CHINA ROSE - ROSIE Rosie was from our first litter of Pekingese born in 2005. In the short time she competed in the show ring she won numerous awards including being Reserve bitch at the Victorian Pekingese Specialty Championship Show on two consecutive occasions in 2006 & 2007. It is with much sadness that Rosie passed away in January 2008 due to a massive allergic reaction to a insect bite. Rosie, in the short time we had the pleasure of owning her, demonstrated her quality by being only 1 point away from her Australian Champion title at the time of her death. Unfortunately her untimely passing did not allow us the opportunity to fully realise her potential as a brood bitch for future lines in our long term breeding plan. AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION PUGMATE DEVILS MAJIC - OSCAR
Since Oscar started his show career he has been a consistent winner in the ring. He is a multi Best Exhibit, Runner up and class in group winner. He has also won multiple Runner up Best Exhibit in Shows and class in shows at all breeds level. At Speciality show level he won Best Minor Puppy in Show at the Victorian Pug Club Championship Show in 2003, and Puppy in Show at the Victorian Toy Dog Championship Show in 2003. Oscar has now been retired and is living with Gemma and their new family, in the lap of luxury. ![]()
AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION IMATOFF LITTLE RANI- GEMMA
Gemma started her show career as a baby puppy winning Best Baby in Show at the Victorian Woman’s Dog Club Championship Show as her first achievement in the ring. Gemma then moved on to win Best Minor Puppy in Show at the Victorian Pug Club Championship Show in March 2001 and then Opposite Puppy in Show at the South Australian Pug Club Championship Show under breed specialist Dr Elmer Pineda from the Philippines in May 2001. Gemma has now been retired and is living with Oscar and their new family, being spoilt rotten. ![]()

Jasmine is the litter sister to Australian Champion Pugmate Mr Smartie Pants. Jasmine was shown as a baby puppy with success, then given time out of the ring to mature, which she has done, and has since come back and obtained her Australian Championship title in 2005, with many classes in groups wins to her credit. ![]()
